Our Philosophy
Reach For The Stars Dance Company is a safe, fun, and encouraging atmosphere where students can come to dance, enjoy friendships, develop self-confidence, and accomplish their goals.
We are a very family-friendly studio where everyone is welcome. We ensure that each dancer feels special and valued.
Here at Reach For The Stars we wish to inspire all and encourage everyone to follow their dreams and REACH FOR THE STARS!
Meet the Owner:
Hayley Schroder
From a young age, Hayley dreamed of opening her own dance studio, a goal she has passionately pursued since discovering her love for dance at the age of six. Over her 11-year competitive career, Hayley earned numerous awards, overalls, and scholarships, including the prestigious Destined to Succeed Award in both 2012 and 2016, multiple Most Potential Awards, and a scholarship to the National School of Ballet. Her talents also took her to Punta Cana in 2015 to film promotional videos and earned her a spot on the Luv 2 Dance National Elite Team in 2016 and 2017. She also had the honour of performing at Disney Magic Music Days in Downtown Disney, Florida.
Dedicated to continuous learning and professional development, Hayley has completed certifications in Acrobatic Arts, PAEC, Alexia Flexibility, Pilates for Dancers, and International Dance Teaching Standards. She has also completed Russian Ballet examinations up to the Elementary level. Her diverse performance experience extends beyond dance competitions to local theatre productions, including The Wizard of Oz and Annie at St. Jacobs Country Playhouse and Anne of Green Gables with KW Musical Productions.
With over a decade of teaching experience, Hayley has worked with both recreational and competitive dancers, earning recognition for her innovative and award-winning choreography. She is passionate about continuing to grow as an educator and creating training environments that support dancers not only technically, but also physically and mentally. Her Pilates for Dancers training has further strengthened her focus on dancer conditioning, strength, mobility, alignment, and injury prevention.
Hayley's greatest passion is inspiring her students to believe in themselves, strive for excellence, and enjoy the journey along the way. She is committed to fostering confidence, kindness, teamwork, and a genuine love of dance in every dancer she teaches.
Through Reach For The Stars Dance Company, Hayley is proud to share her love of dance and create a nurturing, encouraging environment where every student is supported, celebrated, and inspired to truly Reach for the Stars.

Victoria started dancing at the very young age of 3 years old. She is currently competing in numerous styles of dance such as Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip-hop, Acro, Lyrical, and Contemporary. She enjoys learning new skills, challenging herself, and keeping up with the evolving world of dance in all styles. Victoria has always loved dance but found an even deeper passion for sharing her love of dance with others during her time as an assistant teacher at Reach For The Stars Dance Company. This then led her into her teaching position at Reach For The Stars Dance Company where she had her own recreational classes and cleaned competitive routines. She has won numerous overalls, special awards, standout awards, most potential awards, scholarships, and national team invites. Victoria continues to grow her knowledge and education in dance by attending workshops and convention classes. Victoria is PAEC Certified in her Kinder Dance Education course. Victoria is also a dance photoshoot ambassador with Vanessa Berzak photography. Victoria is also an elite high jumper, winning novice girls OFSAA, U16 indoor championships, Ontario-Quebec championships, and being selected for Team Ontario during the indoor season. Victoria is very excited to be able to share her passion and love for dance with all her students and looks forward to an incredible season ahead.

Brooklyn began dancing at a young age and has trained in a variety of styles throughout her dance journey. Her passion for teaching began when she was just 11 years old, when she first stepped into the classroom as an assistant teacher. Since then, her love for sharing dance with the next generation has continued to grow. For the past five seasons, she has taught her own recreational and competitive classes, helping dancers build confidence, develop their skills, and discover their own love for dance.
She is certified in Acrobatic Arts, Progressing Ballet Technique, Pilates for Dancers, and Preschool AcroDance, and also holds her HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development certification. These certifications have helped shape her approach to creating a positive, safe, and encouraging environment for every dancer she teaches.
Outside of the studio, she is entering her fourth year at the University of Guelph, where she is completing a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
She is so excited to be returning for her second season at Reach for the Stars Dance Company and can’t wait for another amazing year of dancing, learning, and making memories with her students!

Noy is a GTA based dance artist who graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson University), with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Performance Dance.
Being in the field for over 12 years, he has showcased in many productions and performances at theaters across Toronto. Noy has danced for Toronto International Ballet Theatre (TIBT) since 2016 in their annual shows presented at Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre). As part of TIBT, he has been featured in various roles during the years of 2016-2022. He has had the opportunity to collaborate with artists such as Angela Blumberg, Robert Glumbek, Dylan Crossman, Andrea Nann, Emilio Colalillo, Ryan Lee, William Yong, Alyssa Martin, and Natasha Poon Woo. Noy has also been invited as a guest soloist dancer on numerous occasions with the Victoria Ballet Company in Toronto.
Noy currently teaches ballet, contemporary, jazz, and creates choreographic works for studios across the GTA region. He strives to implement his intense and diverse ballet and contemporary training with his teaching and creations. He is very excited to share his passion with the RFTS students.

Nicole has been teaching dance for over a decade and has danced since she was four years old. She trained and competed in a wide variety of styles including acro, contemporary, musical theatre, jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, and lyrical, with 13 years of competitive experience. In 2013, she proudly represented Canada as part of the Canadian Show Dance Team, competing at the IDO World Show Dance Championships in Germany.
Throughout her journey, Nicole has explored many avenues of movement and performance. She grew up as a competitive figure skater and later expanded her expertise as a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. These experiences, along with her NCCP Gymnastics Coaching certification and Acrobatic Arts Level 2 certification, have given her a unique perspective on strength, flexibility, artistry, and athleticism that she brings into her teaching.
During her university years at Wilfrid Laurier, where she studied Kinesiology, Nicole continued to share her love of dance through both recreational and competitive programs - performing, instructing, and choreographing. While she has worked in different professional environments, Nicole always finds her way back to teaching dance because it is her true passion. She believes in creating an encouraging, empowering space where students can challenge themselves, build confidence, and discover their own voice through movement.
Nicole enjoys teaching a wide variety of styles and is excited to continue inspiring students to move with passion and joy.

Andrew started his dance journey at age 12 and was quickly scouted for the competitive team shortly thereafter. He competed in Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Acro. Over the course of his competitive dance years, he received numerous awards and scholarships. He performed with Five Star Dance company at a resort in Mexico, won A-List acrobat at Northern Move, placed 3rd overall at On The Floor Nationals. After the global pandemic cut his graduating year short, he went to college for business, then was hired and worked vigorously as a dancer/singer for Carnival Cruise Line. Since 2024, he’s been continuing his love and passion for dance by working as a dance teacher and is so excited to join the Reach for the Stars team!

Alexandra has been dancing from a young age and has always had a deep love for movement, music, and performing. Over the years, she has trained in a variety of dance styles, including Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Acro, Lyrical, and Contemporary. She loves pushing herself outside of her comfort zone, learning new skills, and continuing to grow both as a dancer and as an individual.
Throughout her dance journey, Alexandra has had the opportunity to participate in competitions, workshops, and conventions, gaining valuable experience and building her confidence both on and off the stage. She is always eager to learn from new teachers and choreographers and enjoys discovering new ways to express herself through dance.
Alexandra found a special passion for teaching after experiencing the joy of helping and encouraging younger dancers as an assistant teacher at Reach For The Stars. She loves watching students learn new skills, gain confidence, and discover their own love for dance. Her goal as a teacher is to create a fun, welcoming, and positive classroom where every dancer feels supported and excited to learn.
Alexandra is so excited to continue sharing her passion for dance with her students at Reach For The Stars Dance Company. She cannot wait for a season filled with new friendships, exciting challenges, lots of laughter, and plenty of opportunities for her dancers to grow and shine!

Kelsey has been dancing for 20 years, training in jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, hip‑hop, lyrical, contemporary, acro, and more recently exploring heels and salsa. She began competing at the age of 8 and has dance all across North America at intensives and workshops with top choreographers such as Jordan Clark, Stacey Tookey, Brian Friedman, tWitch, and Travis Wall.
While attending Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU), Kelsey was the Advanced Lyrical Instructor for three years in the Recreational Dance Program, choreographing numerous pieces for Fall and Winter showcases. After living in France and traveling across Europe, she returned home with an even deeper love for dance, reconnecting with her roots and building new community in the Kitchener‑Waterloo region.
Kelsey currently teaches adult dance classes at Kollective Khaos Studio in Downtown Kitchener. She is also in her last year of the Bachelor of Education program at WLU and hoping to become a French teacher once she graduates. When she is not at the studio, she is a server and business owner in the health & wellness space. She loves working out, spending time with friends and family, going on long walks with her dog and enjoying time at her cottage.
Kelsey looks forward to being a part of Reach For The Stars dance family this year and is committed to creating a safe space where dancers can learn, grow, and express themselves, while building friendships along the way.

Scarlett started dancing at the young age of 4 and has always had a strong passion for the art of dance. She continues to train and compete in a variety of styles, including Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Acro, Lyrical, and Contemporary. Scarlett loves challenging herself, learning new skills, and continuing to grow as a dancer while keeping up with the ever-evolving world of dance.
Throughout her dance journey, Scarlett has had the opportunity to participate in competitions, workshops, and conventions, where she has received various awards, special recognitions, and opportunities to further develop her skills. She is passionate about continuing her own dance education and believes there is always something new to learn.
Scarlett discovered an even greater love for dance through sharing her passion with younger dancers. Her experience as an assistant teacher at Reach For The Stars Dance Company allowed her to develop her confidence, leadership skills, and love for teaching. She is so excited to continue growing as an educator and to have the opportunity to teach her own recreational classes.
Scarlett loves creating a positive and encouraging environment where dancers feel comfortable being themselves, trying new things, and celebrating their progress. She is so excited to share her love of dance with her students and looks forward to an amazing season filled with learning, laughter, growth, and lots of dancing!
